Gavin McDermott - Director and Head Coach
I consider myself very lucky and privilaged to have the opportunity to work with so many bright, young people here at CDNIS.
I was born and raised in the UK and have always loved the 'beautiful game'.
I have a UEFA Coaching Licence as well as a Sports Science and Education background.
I have been coaching since 1996 and teaching since 2001. I have worked for the MLS in the United States and Manchester United in the UK as well as teaching at both primary and secondary school level in the UK, New Zealand and in South Korea.
I am proud to be part of the CDNIS faculty as a High School PE teacher.
I proudly introduce what has to be the BEST coaching team here in Hong Kong and one that can rival any Football Academy in the world. All our coaches are FIFA Level 3 coaches and/or qualified teachers. Please see below;
Paul Beltrame - Coach
Paul is a former professional player of over 20 years in England, Australia and finally here in HK. Paul also represented has native Australia at U21 level.
Paul is also a well qualified and experienced PE teacher and MLFA is proud to have such a well qualified and caring coach join the team.
Paul has not only coached on but, has also directed many school level and elite football programmes across Queensland, Australia and is really keen to work with the talented youngsters here at CDNIS.
Paul has great technical expertise and is a great addition to the MLFA team for 2010/11.
Stephen Liu - Assistant Coach
Stephen has just graduated from HKIS and will soon be on his way to study Sports Science at University in Australia.
Stephen is currently playing for HKFC in the HKFA Division 1 and played a huge part in the HKIS U20s team that went on to win everything locally and internationally ion 2009/10.
Stephen has a very friendly and caring nature and loves working with young people. He is a great role model for all our young hopefuls.
Adam is a well qualified physical education professional and father of two.
Adam joined CDNIS as a PE teacher in 2009 and MLFA is proud to have Adam coach on our popular Saturday Sports programme.
Adam is also a keen footballer having grown-up playing the game alongside rugby in his native Australia.
Joanne Siu - Coach (Early years specialist)
Joanne is a well respected and experienced classroom assistant at CDNIS.
Joanne is fun loving with bags of energy in addition to having the required experience of working with MLFA's youngest players.
Joanne is patient, caring and really understands the emotional needs of all the children she works with.
